LOGIINE
Three women, seemingly in control of their lives, leave behind the pressures of careers, family, and societal expectations to embark on a deeply personal journey—one where they shed their burdens, reclaim their joy, and rediscover their power through the transformative experience of Carnival.
THE JOURNEY
Three accomplished women step away from their demanding lives, leaving behind career stress, family pressures, and emotional burdens to embrace the transformative experience of Carnival. They go for fun, but what they gain feels almost supernatural—a deep sense of release, power, and renewal. As they prepare, every bead and feather becomes part of their metamorphosis—an identity that feels both new and deeply familiar. But this journey is more than revelry; it is a sacred homecoming. Dancing on ancestral ground, they honor the resilience of those who came before them, merging past and present in a powerful act of liberation. Through stunning b-roll of Carnival costumes, vérité footage, and intimate OTFs, their stories unfold alongside insights from professors, cultural critics, and appearances by some of the world’s most famous Soca artists. In this space, joy, power, and sensuality belong to them alone. For these women, Carnival isn’t an escape—it’s a return to who they truly are.
THE WOMEN
These are professionals, mothers, and leaders—women who meet expectations yet crave more. For once, they choose themselves, escaping to a sacred space where they can be free.
The Attorney
A widowed mother of three who spends her days in court and her nights dreaming of the road.
The Executive
A corporate strategist who controls everything—except who she becomes on Carnival day.
The Artist
A woman shaped by others’ expectations, but most alive in the movement of her body.
WHY NOW
Women are redefining what it means to have it all—and realizing that true success includes pleasure, autonomy, and self-celebration. Bikini & Beads is not just about Carnival. It’s about the women who refuse to live life on anyone else’s terms.
